an elderly patient of mine asked me,

" dont you ever smile?"

i stared at him dumbfounded.

and he said,

"its just that you've been walking up and down, and you have this grim look on your face. The day would look so much brighter if you smile."

and so i did.

and the day did become much brighter. =]
